Infocycle and the Big Green Shop

We've updated this site a little about our relationship with Infocycle. They specialise in project management and related services mainly for government but we've worked with them in corporates in the past.

We've worked with them for over 3 years now and we have an excellent relationship. Perhaps the two most significant projects are the Desktop Traffic Headlines and Google Mini installations. For the Mini Infocycle worked with the HA to get very well specified requirements, managed the design agency to put together the XSLT and then us sorting the hosting and implementation. It all went very well. The Google Mini isn't without its problems (mainly rushed security patches in the early days - it's been fine for the last 8 months) but overall, it does exactly what it says on the tin. It's very, very fast and seems to scale well.

The DTH now has many thousands of users and we've been surprised at how many people use it. Most of the information that the DTH provides is available by RSS but it seems a lot of people would prefer something specifically for this task. There's some doubt whether this says more about the functionality of RSS readers rather than the DTH application itself though!

big green shopWe're "all hands to the pumps" on delivering a shopping portal as a sister site to the Drupal based Big Green Switch that we developed for Associated Northcliffe Digital. It's all going to plan (so far!) and, from our point of view at least, it will be ready to live during December 2007.
