We have consulted on many aspects of the development of www.highways.gov.uk and specifically have implemented the Google Mini Search Appliance, developed a number of .NET/Red Dot applications and developed the Desktop Traffic Headlines application.

The Google Mini is a very powerful and scalable search appliance that is suitable for both intranet and public site deployments.

It's a very flexible and reliable appliance that allows multiple interfaces, searching over file systems and websites.
